On 11th September 2025, VKCTE, Nirjuli, celebrated ‘Universal Brotherhood Day’ to commemorate the anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s iconic speech at the Chicago Parliament in 1893. The programme was organised to spread the message of peace, love, and togetherness among student teachers.

The programme was started with Three-Omkars and Shanti Path, followed by the lighting of a lamp by respected Principal Dr M. Neethi Perumal, VKCTE, Nirjuli. This celebration event was attended by teaching, non-teaching staff and teacher trainees.
The celebration began with a warm welcome speech by our respected Principal. In his address, he highlighted the importance of brotherhood in building harmony in society and motivated the student teachers to uphold these values in their daily lives and also teach their future children.
Following the speech, students presented a series of cultural performances. They sang songs and performed traditional dances that showcased the spirit of unity in diversity. The vibrant performances filled the atmosphere with joy and togetherness. The highlight of the programme was the facilitation of ‘Quote writing’ and ‘Drawing competition’ winners, who received prizes from the principal.
The event was smoothly hosted by student teachers, who managed the programme with confidence and enthusiasm. Towards the end, a vote of thanks was delivered by the student teacher, expressing gratitude to the principal, faculty members, and all the participants for making the programme successful.
The celebration of Brotherhood Day in our college truly reflected harmony, cooperation, and mutual respect, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
